戒厳令なぞどこ吹く風 Despite Martial Law

朝起きたら戒厳令が出てた。だけど、昨日注文したソファーはちゃんと午前中に届いた。優秀〜。今までは、家具なんかに凝りだすと決まって転勤になってたものだけど、今回からはそうじゃないことを祈る。

A brand new sofa arrived home today without any delay despite Martial Law imposed since this morning. It's been the case that whenever I buy good quality furniture I soon get to transfered to a new duty station. I hope this sofa will be the first case to break the pattern. Fingers crossed!
